Privacy Notice
ASSISTWeekly
This privacy notice explains how personal data is handled when someone subscribes to the ASSISTWeekly newsletter.
This notice covers the ASSISTWeekly landing page, newsletter subscriptions, and the use of Brevo as the subscription form, contact management, and email delivery provider.
1. Controller
The controller for this newsletter is the operator of ASSISTWeekly.
Contact email for privacy requests: assistweekly@gmail.com.
The subscription infrastructure currently uses a Brevo account associated with assistweekly@gmail.com.
2. What data we collect
When you subscribe, we typically collect the following personal data:
Email address, and, if enabled in your signup flow, subscription metadata such as consent timestamp, IP address, user agent, referral or source tag, confirmation status, and unsubscribe status.
Because the signup form is provided through Brevo, subscription events and consent-related logs may also be stored inside Brevo to manage the list, verify signups, and handle unsubscriptions.
3. Why we use your data
We use your personal data to:
send the ASSISTWeekly newsletter; manage your subscription; send essential service messages related to your subscription, such as confirmation, verification, delivery, or unsubscribe notices; maintain suppression or block lists where needed to respect opt-out requests; and protect the service against abuse, fraud, or technical misuse.
We also use Brevo to host the signup form, store subscriber contacts, manage consent and unsubscribe status, and send newsletter emails.
4. Legal basis for processing
Our primary legal basis is consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You choose to subscribe and can withdraw your consent at any time.
Where strictly necessary, we may also rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for limited legitimate interests such as maintaining unsubscribe suppression records, protecting the security of the service, and preventing abuse.
You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email or by contacting assistweekly@gmail.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
5. How we collect your data
We collect your personal data directly from you when you submit the newsletter signup form embedded on this site. If double confirmation is enabled in Brevo, you may also be asked to confirm your subscription through a follow-up email.
6. Recipients and processors
Your personal data may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf, including:
newsletter subscription and delivery provider: Brevo.
Brevo is used for form capture, contact storage, list management, unsubscribe handling, and email delivery. Data submitted through the signup form is therefore transferred to Brevo for processing.
According to Brevo's official documentation, its sign-up forms can include GDPR consent fields and a GDPR declaration stating that subscriber data is transferred to Brevo for processing in accordance with Brevo's Privacy Policy. See Create a sign-up form in Brevo, Guidelines for a GDPR-compliant sign-up form, and How does Brevo comply with the GDPR?.
7. International transfers
Your data may be processed by Brevo and its infrastructure providers in the course of operating the subscription system.
Brevo states in its GDPR documentation that it uses contractual safeguards for processor relationships and maintains legal documentation around data processing. If Brevo or one of its subprocessors processes data outside the EEA, the transfer should be governed by the relevant legal mechanism used by Brevo at that time.
For Brevo's own legal and privacy materials, see Brevo's GDPR documentation and Brevo privacy and confidentiality documentation.
8. Retention period
We keep active subscriber data for as long as you remain subscribed.
If you unsubscribe, we may retain limited suppression data, such as your email address and unsubscribe timestamp, to ensure we do not send you the newsletter again unless you re-subscribe.
Data stored in Brevo is retained according to the active status of the subscription, the operational needs of the mailing list, and any retention or suppression logic required to respect opt-out requests and maintain list hygiene.
9. Whether providing data is mandatory
Providing your email address is voluntary, but it is necessary if you want to receive the newsletter. Without it, we cannot add you to the mailing list.
10. Automated decision-making
We do not use your subscription data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
11. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
be informed about how your data is used; access your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; request restriction of processing; object to certain processing; receive a portable copy of data you provided to us; and withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise your rights, contact assistweekly@gmail.com.
12. Right to complain
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country of residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement.
If you are based in Italy, this is typically the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali. If your main establishment is in another EU country, add the lead supervisory authority details here if relevant.
13. Cookies and similar technologies
This landing page does not intentionally use non-essential analytics or advertising trackers of its own.
However, the subscription form is embedded from Brevo, and Brevo may load its own resources or process technical data needed to provide the embedded form and related subscription workflow.
If you later add analytics, retargeting, pixels, or additional third-party scripts, this notice should be updated and, where legally required, an appropriate consent mechanism should be implemented.
14. Changes to this notice
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.

For privacy-related questions, access requests, or deletion requests, contact: assistweekly@gmail.com.
If your request specifically concerns how Brevo processes data inside the subscription platform, we may also need to handle that request through the relevant Brevo account associated with assistweekly@gmail.com.
